Breaking Tradition on Valentine's Day

Am I the only one that told the hubby I didn't want flowers, chocolates, or stuffed animals for Valentine's Day?  Instead, I opted for what they call 'mommy bling'. ;)

You must check out this website!  They have the most adorable hand-stamped jewelry! :)

We also won't be going out for dinner tonight because we both have school work to do, but we are going to try the Melting Pot this weekend. :)  Are you guys sticking with tradition or being a heart day rebel? ;)

  1. we are being rebels. i would prefer something like jewelry too because it sticks around slightly longer then chocolates and flowers :) my hubby has school tonight, so we are planning to celebrate another evening at Aberdeen!!

  2. Ooh, Aberdeen sounds good! That's one place we haven't tried yet, but I've heard it's wonderful! And I can't lie, I did get some chocolates...Reese's cups, actually-better than any box of chocolates for me ;)

  3. Reese's cups are better than any box of chocolates, I whole-heartedly agree. Tradition for us the past few years, even with Jared being deployed, was to have dinner at the Melting Pot... never on Valentine's Day itself though. Jaylee has been my Valentine date for the past 2 years. :) This year, with Jared being in school and Cambria being a force to reckon with :) we are hanging out at home. We may venture out for Mexican this weekend though. :)

  4. We took advantage of Nana being in town and went rock wall climbing a the rock gym in VA beach and ate at the Cheesecake factory on the Monday in between V-day and our anniversary. Not exactly "typical", but it was fun, good bonding, and a nice change of pace.
